How we count
What our numbers actually mean
A placement rate is only as good as the definition behind it. Here is ours, in full.
What counts as a placement?
A placement is a graduate hired into a paid role with one of our employer partners. We count a student as placed when they have a confirmed offer in hand, not when they begin interviewing.
How is the rate calculated?
Of the 255 students who completed our program and were certified, 167 have been placed in real careers. That is a placement rate of 65%, calculated on certified graduates who are placed rather than everyone who registers.
How long do you stay in touch with graduates?
Our relationship doesn't end at placement. We keep an active alumni network, and we stay reachable for the practical and personal questions that come with a first career, the kind a first-generation graduate is often working out alone. That continued contact is part of why placements hold. Graduates reach out as they weigh a switch or a raise, and we follow where they go.
What about the graduates who aren't placed?
We stay actively engaged with every certified graduate for six months, continuing to coach and connect them to openings as roles come up. After that, our door stays open: graduates reach out when they need help with a next step, and we support them as we can. A certified graduate is never a closed file.
Her Story
Akshaya came back on her own terms.
Akshaya Renuse has a master's in biochemistry and had already built part of a career before she stepped away for a few years to raise her two children. When she was ready to return, she didn't want her old field back. She wanted a new one. She chose digital marketing, something she had never worked in, and enrolled in our program to learn it properly rather than piece it together alone. Her trainers describe her the way employers eventually would: sincere, mature, and committed to getting it right.
She joined ArribaLabs as a digital marketing intern, and moved into a permanent business development role there soon after. A deliberate change of direction, backed by the training to make it real.
